Continuing cooperation with the aerodromes of our country in terms of repairing surfaced pavements of aerodromes, since the start of the 2019 construction season ERCC LLC has been carrying out repair work at the Lviv International Airport named after Danylo Halytskyi, which includes repair of joint spalls, renewal of expansion joints, as well as treatment of runway pavement using specific silicone-based reagent. The use of this reagent enables to provide cement concrete pavement with hydrophobic properties, to increase the strength and resistance to abrasive strength, as well as to localize the existing defects of the pavement such as surface scaling.
In framework implementation of this project, sealing renovation of expansion joints will be carried out for a total length of more than 15 000 rm. The total area of airfield pavement treated with the reagent is towards 24 000 m2.
Works are performed under operation conditions of the airport.
